BEST PRINTER FOR CONTINUOUS INK SYSTEM
Different people may have different needs that's why there are so many printers available in the market today to cater to each specific need. If you are like most people, you are probably confused which printer to buy, specially if it's your first time to buy an inkjet printer.
Most of our customers ask us which printer is most compatible with the Continuous Ink System. Here are the guides that you can use when buying a printer to be converted to Continuous Ink Sytems:
EPSON T10

General Advantages:
- Most compatible with Ink All-You-Can Systems
- Great resolution (up to 5760 dots-per-inch)
- Printer head is more durable compared with Canon Printer
General Disadvantages:
- Printer head is attached to the printer so if it's damaged, you need to replace the printer
- Slower printing compared to Canon
CANON PIXMA IP1980

General Advantages:
- Compatible with Ink All-You-Can Systems
- Faster printing compared with Epson T10
General Disadvantages:
- Cartridge head is disposable and not designed for heavy printing so you need to replace it every now and then. Original cartridge will cost around P1,000.
- More prone to ink leakage compared to Epson, especially during transfer of printer from one place to another or if the Ink System is placed above the printer.
Overall, if you are not so much concerned with speed, it's more economical in the long-term to buy Epson printer. However, if you need faster printing and it's ok for you to buy a new cartridge every now and then (when the cartridge wears out), you can go for Canon printer.
ON MULTI-FUNCTIONAL OR 3-IN-1 PRINTERS
How about multifunctional printers like 3-in-1 printers with photocopy and scan functions? Yes, 3-in-1 printers can be installed with Ink All-You-Can System. However, we generally ask the customer if they really need the scanning and photocopying functions. The reason is that generally speaking, multi-functional printers are more prone to damage compared to single-function printer. If the customer really needs scanning as an everyday function, it is best for him/her to purchase a scanner separately. That way, both printing and scanning can work at the same time (which saves time) and if one equipment malfunctions, the other one will continue to function properly.
But then again, it's the customers choice. If he/she really wants to buy a 3-in-1 printer, we will happily install it with Ink All-You-Can System. Needless to say, we also have a lot of customers who enjoy unlimited printing and unlimited savings using Ink All-You-Can to their 3-in-1 printers.
